Attempted Robbery Ends in Fatal Shooting in Tomball, Possibly Drug Related
On Sunday, February 2, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., deputies with the Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office responded to a report of a shooting in the 11400 block of Northam in Tomball. Upon arrival, deputies found a male victim lying on the side of the road, deceased from gunshot wounds.
The victim, later identified as 35-year-old Keegen Maull, was found with blood evidence and video surveillance indicating he had come from a nearby residence. Deputies checked the home but found no additional victims.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide investigators determined the shooting had originated at the home and suspect the incident was drug-related. After further investigation, it was revealed that Maull had attempted to rob the homeowner at gunpoint before being shot. The homeowner was identified and detained by Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies, later providing a statement regarding the incident.
Two additional suspects connected to the robbery are still being sought. The case will be presented to a grand jury for potential charges, but at this time, the homeowner is not facing charges.
