Arrest Made in East Houston Homicide Case; Suspect Faces Murder and Aggravated Assault Charges
An arrest has been made in the murder of 40-year-old Roger Boutte. Boutte was gunned down on January 24, 2024 at about 1:10 am at a residence on 9923 Valley Club Drive in Houston.
The suspect in the case, identified as 36-year-old Schwin Rashad Hadnot, has been charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 177th State District Court.
On the date of the incident, Boutte was found unresponsive in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. A second man, 41 years of age, was found nearby with a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that a 36-year-old male at the location of the shooting, who appeared to be intoxicated on an unknown substance, required immediate medical attention and was taken to an area hospital.
Subsequent inquiries led to the identification of Hadnot as the prime suspect. Following coordination with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Hadnot was arrested and charged with murder.
