Joint Law Enforcement Operation in Bayou Vista Leads to Arrest of Child Predator

In a joint operation on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, law enforcement agencies including the Texas City Police Department, Hitchcock Police Department, Texas DPS, HSI, Pearland Police Department, Bayou Vista Police Department, Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, and the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Warsaw St in Bayou Vista, Texas.

During the operation, 31-year-old Trevor Pape was taken into custody by investigators for the offense of Possession of Child Pornography. Pape is facing a $100,000 bond in connection with the charges.

As part of the search, the Texas City Police Department’s Electronic Storage Detection K-9, Nibble, was deployed for a secondary search of the residence. Nibble successfully located hidden devices, which have been collected for further investigation.

Members of the Texas City Police Department are assigned to the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. They collaborate with other agencies assigned to the task force to address and combat offenses related to child exploitation. The task force remains committed to working tirelessly to bring individuals involved in child pornography and exploitation to justice.
