Ranch Hands Rescue in Denton Expands to Serve Minor Male Survivors of Sex Trafficking

Ranch Hands Rescue has announced a significant expansion of its services at Bob’s House of Hope, aiming to open its doors to minor male survivors of sex trafficking by June 2025. This move will make the facility one of the few in the nation dedicated to this vulnerable and underserved population.

Since its founding, Bob’s House of Hope has provided refuge for young adult male survivors, offering a trauma-informed environment to help them heal and rebuild their lives. The expansion will address a critical gap in care for male minors under 18 who have experienced trafficking.

“This expansion is deeply personal to us,” said Bob Williams, Founder and CEO of Ranch Hands Rescue. “By opening our doors to minors, we are addressing an urgent need for specialized care and protection for boys who have endured unimaginable exploitation.”

The facility will include a secure, dedicated space tailored to the needs of minor survivors, with specialized staff training, comprehensive counseling, medical care, legal assistance, and educational opportunities.

Landon Dickeson, Executive Director and trauma recovery expert, emphasized the careful planning required for this expansion. “This will provide a desperately needed lifeline for boys who are often overlooked and left without adequate support.”

Male survivors represent a significant percentage of trafficking victims, yet resources for their recovery remain limited. Bob’s House of Hope will fill this void by combining counseling with animal-assisted therapy, a model that pairs survivors with rehabilitated special needs animals.

“This is more than a shelter—it’s a lifeline,” said Williams. “These boys are not forgotten. Together, we can create a place where they can heal, grow, and rediscover hope.”

Ranch Hands Rescue is located at 9477 Fort Worth Drive in Denton. Bob’s House of Hope is located in Argyle.
