Search Warrant Uncovers Suspected Illegal Immigrants in Chambers County

Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne reported that an evidentiary search warrant was executed by members of the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division at 5118 Dripping Springs, Baytown, Tx., in Chambers County around 9:00 a.m. this morning, April 11th, 2024. The Mont Belvieu Police Department and digital forensic investigators from other agencies provided assistance.

During the operation, numerous individuals believed to be illegal immigrants of Asian descent were found inside the residence. Due to this discovery, the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office requested further assistance from Homeland Security Investigations.

The investigation is ongoing. Deputies are expected to remain on the scene for an extended period of time.
