Traffic Stop in Los Fresnos Results in Arrest for Outstanding Warrant and Drug Possession
In a routine traffic stop conducted on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, Cameron County Sheriff Deputies apprehended 23-year-old Christian Andre Flores at the intersection of Hwy 100 and FM 803. The stop was initiated due to a traffic violation.
Upon interviewing Mr. Flores, deputies discovered he had an outstanding warrant from Cameron County Court at Law V for the offense of Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transportation (Failure to Appear). Without delay, Sheriff Deputies took Mr. Flores into custody.
During a subsequent search of the vehicle incident to the arrest, deputies uncovered a Vape Pen containing Tetrahydrocannabinol oil. The deputies seized the Vape Pen and submitted it into evidence.
Mr. Christian Andre Flores now faces charges of Possession of Controlled Substance PG-2, classified as a State Jail Felony, in addition to the outstanding warrant for Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transportation Failure to Appear from Cameron County Court at Law V.
