Early Morning Robbery Leads to Arrest in Ector County

On December 1, 2023, at approximately 6 am, officers from the Odessa Police Department (OPD) responded to a reported robbery at DK located at 600 S. Grandview. The victim recounted that an unidentified male entered the premises, brandishing a knife and declaring, “this is a robbery.” The assailant demanded cash and swiftly left the scene on foot, taking both merchandise and an undisclosed sum of money.

Promptly responding to the incident, OPD officers located an individual matching the suspect’s description in the vicinity of Barrett and Avenida de Mexico. The suspect was identified as 60-year-old Curtis Leon Henderson, and witnesses positively confirmed his identity as the perpetrator of the DK robbery.

Following the investigation, Henderson was charged with Aggravated Robbery, classified as a “1st Degree Felony.” Law enforcement officers subsequently transported Henderson to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center to face the charges filed against him.
