Transgender Woman Arrested After Disturbance at Webster Business and Bathroom

WEBSTER, Texas – A 19-year-old transgender woman was arrested after deputies responded to a disturbance at a Webster business where authorities say she refused to leave, entered a women’s restroom, and later damaged county property while in custody.

According to the Harris County Precinct 8 Constable’s Office, Deputy C. McLain responded at approximately 11:11 a.m. on Aug. 5 to a business in the 560 block of El Dorado Boulevard following reports of a customer refusing to leave the premises.

Criminal Trespass Charge Accepted

Deputies determined that Elijah Salazar, 19, who authorities identified as a transgender woman, entered the business and attempted to use its amenities but was denied access.

According to investigators, after being asked to leave, Salazar allegedly became belligerent, entered the women’s restroom, and remained inside while consuming an alcoholic beverage.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and accepted a charge of Criminal Trespass.

Salazar was taken into custody and transported to the Clear Lake Annex for processing.

Additional Investigation After Property Damaged

While being held at the Clear Lake Annex, authorities said Salazar allegedly damaged county property in the holding area.

Deputies documented the incident, and the alleged property damage remains under further investigation.

Salazar was later transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center, where the booking process was completed without further incident.

Court records show Salazar’s bond was set at $100.
