Year-Long Manhunt Ends: Anonymous Tip Leads to Arrest of Convicted Child Assaulter in Marble Falls

MARBLE FALLS, TX — One of the state’s most sought-after fugitives is back behind bars after an anonymous tip led police directly to his hiding spot at a local business over the weekend.

Victor Manuel Ramos Jr., 19, who was recently designated as the Texas Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) “Featured Fugitive” on the state’s 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list, was captured on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Because the arrest was the direct result of a citizen tip, an increased Texas Crime Stoppers reward of $4,000 will be paid to the anonymous tipster.

Captured at Local Business

Ramos had been classified by state authorities as armed and dangerous while on the run. The breakthrough in the manhunt came when an individual submitted precise geographic details regarding his whereabouts to Texas Crime Stoppers.

Officers with the Marble Falls Police Department immediately deployed to the specified business location, where they successfully intercepted and arrested Ramos without incident. Special Agents with the DPS Criminal Investigations Division (CID) assisted local police in coordinating the tactical capture.

Conviction and Subsequent Flight

The search for Ramos stems from a prior felony conviction in Burnet County. In April 2025, Ramos was found guilty of sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact following an offense involving a 16-year-old girl. He was sentenced to 10 years of intensive felony probation.

However, Ramos immediately vanished from active law enforcement supervision. He had been a wanted fugitive out of neighboring Llano County since August 15, 2025, after completely failing to comply with his statutory sex offender registration requirements. Less than a week later, on August 21, 2025, a secondary felony warrant was issued out of Burnet County for his arrest regarding a formal probation violation tied to his original child assault conviction.

Ramos has been transferred to a regional holding facility where he is being detained without bond on his outstanding warrants. DPS officials highlighted the arrest as a prime example of how everyday citizens can actively assist law enforcement in removing dangerous criminals from local Texas communities.
