Harris County Man Arrested for Alleged Vampire-Like Attack on Child
A Harris County man, identified as 27-year-old Colton Tyler Ryan, has been arrested and charged with Injury to a Child, a third-degree felony, following a disturbing incident involving a 10-year-old boy earlier this month.
According to court documents, Ryan allegedly installed the Facebook Messenger app on the child’s phone without the mother’s consent, subsequently initiating contact with the child at all hours of the day and night. The child’s mother also reported seeing Ryan frequently at their apartment complex, often circling the area.
Court records indicate that on October 13, 2023, Ryan allegedly lured the 10-year-old child into a public restroom at the child’s apartment complex. There, he reportedly raised his voice at the boy and forced him to take a photo together. The child further reported that Ryan caused him pain by biting and sucking on his neck in a manner resembling a vampire.
Colton Tyler Ryan has been charged with Injury to a Child, a third-degree felony. He is currently detained at the Harris County Jail with a bond set at $50,000. As a condition of his release, Ryan is prohibited from having any contact with individuals under the age of 18 and is not allowed to be within 100 feet of areas frequented by children, such as schools or playgrounds.
