21-year-old Driver Arrested After Hit-and-Run Involving Bicyclist in Cypress

CYPRESS, Texas — A driver has been arrested following a hit-and-run crash involving a bicyclist Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
According to Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office, deputies responded April 26, 2026, to the 14200 block of Cypress Rosehill Road after a vehicle struck a bicyclist and fled the scene.
Investigators said the bicyclist sustained minor injuries.
Deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle at a nearby business and identified the driver as 21-year-old Yeiny Lumbreras. She was detained and taken into custody without incident.
Lumbreras was booked into the Harris County Jail and charged with failure to stop and render aid. Authorities said her bond was set at $12,500 by the 351st District Court.
