Anonymous Tips Lead To Drug House Raid, Massive Narcotics Seizure in Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A joint narcotics investigation led by Constable Jerry Garcia’s Special Operations Unit resulted in the shutdown of a suspected drug house, the seizure of large quantities of illegal drugs and firearms, and the arrest of a repeat offender, authorities said.
On Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in the 5000 block of Rapido Road in the South Park area of Houston following numerous anonymous tips alleging illegal drug use and sales at the location. The operation was carried out with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service and the Drug Enforcement Administration Galveston Regional Office.
According to investigators, deputies quickly developed sufficient evidence to obtain a warrant after receiving the tips. The search warrant was executed without incident, and deputies located large quantities of narcotics, multiple firearms, and cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales. Authorities also identified and took into custody a suspect who had previously been the target of investigations by the Special Operations Unit.
The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Floyd Comeaux. Investigators reported seizing more than one pound of Carisoprodol (Somas), more than a half-pound of oxycodone, over three-quarters of a pound of hydrocodone, 88 grams of Adderall, 32 grams of alprazolam, 10 grams of Percocet, 141 grams of codeine, and more than 52 pounds of promethazine. Several other prescription medications, five firearms, and approximately $2,300 in U.S. currency were also recovered.
Comeaux was charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and one felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon. Authorities said his probation was also revoked in connection with a prior firearm-related case.
Comeaux is currently being held on a total bond of $2 million for the three felony charges.
Constable Jerry Garcia credited the collaboration between agencies for the successful outcome and thanked the U.S. Marshals Service, the DEA Galveston Regional Office, and his deputies for their role in closing down the operation.
