Montgomery County Celebrates Grand Opening of New Children’s Safe Harbor Facility

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – Sheriff Doolittle and members of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Command Staff were proud to attend the grand opening of the new Children’s Safe Harbor building in Conroe.
Children’s Safe Harbor has a long-standing partnership with the MCSO, playing a critical role in investigating child physical and sexual abuse cases across the community. The new facility strengthens this collaboration by co-locating MCSO Special Victims Unit detectives with Children’s Safe Harbor staff, ensuring families and children receive seamless support and services.
The organization provides forensic interviews and counseling for children ages 2 to 17, as well as adults with intellectual disabilities. These interviews are conducted by trained, neutral professionals and follow legally sound, developmentally sensitive practices, gathering essential information for investigations while protecting the well-being of the child.
“Together, we are committed to protecting the most vulnerable members of Montgomery County,” Sheriff Doolittle said. “This new facility ensures families receive the specialized care and investigative support they deserve.”
The new building reflects the continued dedication of Children’s Safe Harbor and the MCSO to safeguard children and support families throughout the county.
