Sword-Wielding Man Tasered, Two Arrested in College Station

College Station police officers were called to the parking lot at 1601 Valley View Drive on Saturday night, June 28th, following reports of a man driving erratically and threatening people with a sword.

Witnesses told police that Robert Eugene Cooper III, 36, was yelling racial slurs, using profanity, and threatening to kill everyone present. When officers attempted to arrest him, Cooper reportedly resisted and had to be tasered three times. During the struggle, Cooper is accused of grabbing an officer’s groin, causing serious pain.

His companion, Bryana Denis Pollard, 30, was also arrested. She is accused of attempting to hit and kick the officer during Cooper’s arrest.

Both individuals now face multiple charges in connection with the incident.
