Fugitive Woman Caught Hiding Behind Door with Stolen Gun and Drugs in Houston Bust
Vickie Faught and Omar Salazar

A planned warrant service by Harris County Constable Precinct 3 deputies led to the arrest of fugitive Vickie Faught and another suspect, Omar Salazar, following the discovery of drugs and stolen firearms inside a northeast Harris County residence.

Deputies executed the operation at a home in the 12600 block of Celia Drive in the Northshore area, where Faught—who was wanted on a non-bondable felony warrant for probation violation involving dangerous drugs—attempted to flee out the back door after spotting deputies. Aerial drone surveillance and ground units observed her movements, prompting her to retreat back inside. Deputies entered the home and found her hiding behind the front door.

Faught, previously arrested multiple times for drug-related offenses and featured on the constable’s social media, was taken into custody. A stolen Springfield Hellcat 9mm pistol, reported out of Harris County Precinct 4, was found on her.

Omar Salazar, who exited the home earlier during the operation, gave deputies consent to search the property. Inside, deputies recovered:

  • 361 grams of a crystal-like substance
  • 80 grams of a green leafy substance
  • 20 grams of a powder-like substance
  • 35 grams of multi-colored pills (pending lab analysis)
  • 9 grams of Alprazolam
  • Multiple stolen firearms, including a black AR rifle reported stolen from La Marque PD, a Sig Sauer 9mm, and a Winchester 12-gauge shotgun

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges against Salazar for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (x2) and possession of a stolen firearm.

Faught was charged with felon in possession of a firearm and evading on foot. Both suspects were booked into the Harris County Jail without incident.
