Man Arrested for Assaulting Constable Deputy at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital
A man was arrested on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, after allegedly assaulting a Harris County Precinct 8 Constable Deputy working an extra job at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital.
According to reports, Deputy M. Self was escorting 26-year-old Julian Alexander Dean out of the hospital for causing a disturbance when Dean forcefully shoved the deputy in the chest. The assault caused Deputy Self pain and broke his body camera holster.
Deputy Self deployed his taser, incapacitating Dean, who was then taken into custody without further incident. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges of Assault on a Peace Officer. Dean was booked into the Harris County Jail, and his bond was later set at $5,000.
