72-year-old Man Fatally Shot Outside Clinton Park Transportation Business

HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 72-year-old man Monday night outside a business in the Clinton Park Tri-Community area, according to the Houston Police Department.

Officers responded around 9:50 p.m. on May 18, 2026, to a shooting call in the 700 block of Fidelity Street.

Authorities said the shooting occurred at a residence that also operates as an office for Precision First Transportation LLC.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound outside the property.

Personnel with the Houston Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to investigators, preliminary information indicates the victim had been involved in an altercation with an unknown man before the shooting.

The case is being investigated by HPD Homicide Division Sgt. M. Arrington and Detectives M. Castillo, E. Camacho, and R. Waterwall.
