Wrong-Way Crash on North Freeway Leaves Two Dead

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early this morning, December 19, 2024, on the North Freeway. The crash took place around 2:35 a.m. near 1300 North Freeway, resulting in the deaths of two males, ages 37 and 31. Their identities are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to investigators, the 37-year-old male was driving a red Honda Fit the wrong way, traveling northbound in the southbound lanes, when he collided with a gray Dodge Charger heading south. The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

The investigation is ongoing.
