Woman Surrenders to Authorities in Connection with Education Center Property Damage Case

On October 18, 2023, Julianna D. Martinez surrendered herself to the authorities at the Travis County Jail in response to two active warrants. Martinez faces charges of 3rd-degree Felony Criminal Mischief, with damages estimated between $30,000 to $150,000, and Criminal Trespass, classified as a Class B misdemeanor.

The alleged incident took place on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at approximately 10:06 p.m., at the Education Service Center Region 13 offices situated at 5701 Springdale Road. According to reports, an individual drove her vehicle through a closed gate, resulting in nearly $30,000 in property damage. Additionally, the suspect’s vehicle caused the pedestrian protective bollards to topple as it drove over them. Surveillance footage captured the woman’s attempts to gain access to one of the offices during the incident. At that time, the Austin Police Department had sought the public’s assistance in identifying the individual involved.
