HOUSTON, Texas — A woman already out on bond for aggravated assault is back in custody after allegedly impersonating a police officer during a traffic dispute in Far Northwest Houston.

On August 23, 2025, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to reports of a traffic dispute in the 10300 block of Louetta Road. Investigators determined that 30-year-old Joycelyn Jackson became upset with another driver’s erratic behavior and displayed her Private Investigator badge in an effort to make the driver pull over.

Believing Jackson to be a police officer, the driver initially complied but soon doubted her authority and called 911 for assistance.

Further investigation revealed Jackson was out on a $35,000 bond for an aggravated assault charge. She was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Impersonating a Public Servant.

Her bond in the new case was set at $25,000 out of the 180th District Court.
