Woman Killed in Houston Crash on Southwest Freeway Service Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 9001 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) service road around 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, February 10th.

A female, aged 36, was found lying in the roadway at the specified location when she was hit by a black Honda Accord traveling southbound on the service road. Paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.

The identity of the deceased female is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The male driver of the Honda, aged 53, stayed at the scene. He was evaluated and determined not to be impaired before being released.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
