Woman Found Dead in Houston Home, Signs of Trauma Observed

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results following the discovery of a deceased woman at 11718 Kirkmeadow Drive in the Southbelt/Ellington area around 8:05 a.m. on December 8, 2023.

The identity of the 35-year-old woman and the cause of her death are awaiting verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD patrol officers were dispatched to the residence in response to a person-down call. The woman’s boyfriend, who resides at the same address, entered the bedroom and attempted to wake her. Upon realizing she was unresponsive, he promptly called 9-1-1.

Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the woman deceased. No apparent signs of trauma were observed.

The investigation is currently pending the determination of the woman’s cause of death through an autopsy.
