Woman Arrested for 2nd DWI and Resisting Arrest Following Single-Vehicle Crash in Cypress

On December 17, 2023, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 13900 block of Schmidt Drive in Cypress.

Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle in the ditch, and the driver, identified as 46-year-old Rossana Morales, exhibited multiple signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted, confirming her state of intoxication. Further investigation revealed a prior conviction for Driving While Intoxicated.

During the attempt to detain Morales, she resisted by pulling away from deputies, leading to a brief struggle. Eventually, deputies successfully detained her. Rossana Morales was subsequently arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. She faces charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Interfering with the Duties of a Public Servant. Her bond was set at $200.00 in County Court 11.
