League City Police Arrest 20-Year-Old Suspect in Aggravated Assault Case

League City Police Officers have arrested 20-year-old Kawan Smith of Dickinson in connection with an outstanding felony warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The warrant, issued by Galveston County, stems from a shooting incident that occurred on November 2nd, 2023, in the 800 block of W Galveston Ave in League City.

League City Detectives, actively investigating the case, successfully identified Smith as a suspect in the shooting. Today, December 21st, 2023, the detectives located Smith in the 5200 block of W FM 517 in Dickinson. Without incident, Smith was taken into custody. He now faces the charges outlined in the warrant, with no bond currently set.
