Woman Arrested After Assaulting Paramedic During Welfare Check in Humble

On December 20, 2023, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a welfare check in the 7100 block of Foxbrick Lane, Humble, TX. Upon arrival, they discovered 49-year-old Maria Gisela Calderon in need of medical care. While paramedics attended to her, Calderon allegedly intentionally bit a paramedic on the arm, causing pain and discomfort.

Calderon was subsequently transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Following the incident, Constable Deputies reached out to the District Attorney’s Office, leading to the issuance of a warrant for Assault of a Public Servant.

On Friday, December 22, 2023, at approximately 4:50 pm, Calderon was arrested in connection with the assault.
