Weslayan Street Shooting Suspect Charged with Aggravated Assault

Charges have been filed against a suspect in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on May 21, 2022, at 3105 Weslayan Street. Jeffrey Duncan Hendrix, 36, faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 351st State District Court.

The incident unfolded around 11:45 p.m. when Houston Police Department (HPD) patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the aforementioned address. Upon arrival, they discovered a 23-year-old male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics promptly transported the injured man to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.

Following a thorough investigation and the collection of evidence, authorities identified Jeffrey Duncan Hendrix as the alleged suspect. Subsequently, on December 20, charges were filed against him, leading to his arrest on Wednesday, December 27, without incident. Hendrix now faces legal proceedings in the 351st State District Court for the two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
