Violent Disturbance Leads to Arrest of Aggressive Suspect in Harris County
On December 17, 2023, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office swiftly responded to a disturbance in the 9000 block of FM 1960 Road West in northwest Harris County. Upon their arrival, they encountered a male suspect, identified as Vincent Chaney, who exhibited belligerent and aggressive behavior while adamantly refusing to cooperate.
In response to the escalating situation, deputies took measures to detain Chaney for officer safety. However, the encounter took a violent turn when the suspect spat at one deputy’s face and kicked another deputy in the face during a brief struggle. The deputies managed to safely detain Chaney despite the challenges presented by his combative actions.
34-year-old Vincent Chaney was subsequently arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on charges of Assault of a Peace Officer and Harassment of a Public Servant. His bond was set at $25,000.00 by the 182nd District Court.
