Vehicle Arson Suspect Arrested in Harris County

On December 1, 2023, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office swiftly responded to reports of a vehicle fire in the 11800 block of Good Springs Drive in Houston. Upon arrival, 30-year-old Joshua Toliver claimed that an unknown person had intentionally set his vehicle ablaze.

However, nearby video surveillance contradicted Toliver’s account, capturing footage of him intentionally and knowingly igniting the fire. Subsequently, deputies took Toliver into custody.

Joshua Toliver has been arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, facing charges of False Report to a Police Officer. His bond has been set at $100.00 out of County Court 5. Additional charges may be pending as the Harris County Marshal’s Office continues its investigation into the incident.
