Two Suspects Charged, Wanted In June Shooting At 9261 Gulf Freeway in Houston
Houston police are searching for two suspects charged in the shooting of two men at 9261 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 4 a.m. on June 30.
One suspect, Cristobal Banda, 22, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 248th State District Court. The second suspect, Jordan Christopher Perez, 31, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 183rd State District Court. Previous booking photos of Banda and Perez, who are not in custody at this time, are attached to this news release.
The suspects are accused in the shooting of two men, 33 and 26. Both were transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers T. Forsythe and V. Habukiha reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call at a parking lot at the above address and found both male victims had been struck by gunfire. Witnesses stated the men were involved in an argument and the suspect(s) began firing shots at the victims, before fleeing the scene.
Further investigation identified the suspects as Banda and Perez. On Tuesday (August 29), both were charged for their role in the shootings. They remain at-large.
