Two Liberty County Motorcycle Gang Members Arrested for Unlawful Firearm Possession

A Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigator arrested two men affiliated with the “Brother’s East” motorcycle gang, also known as “BEAST,” after observing them carrying firearms while riding motorcycles on Highway 90 in the City of Liberty on Friday, February 7, 2025.
The investigator noticed one of the riders had a .44 Magnum revolver holstered on his chest in plain view. Under Texas law, it is illegal for individuals affiliated with a criminal gang to carry a firearm. A marked patrol unit was called, and a traffic stop was conducted.
The riders were identified as Darrell Streng, a documented member of the “BEAST” motorcycle gang, and Matthew Charles Craft, a known prospect of the gang, both from Liberty County. During the stop, law enforcement discovered five fully loaded handguns in their possession.
Streng and Craft were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Gang Member. They were transported to the Liberty County Jail.
