Two Juveniles Arrested Following Vehicle Burglary Attempt and Pursuit in Humble

On January 21, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 3700 block of Arbor Trails Drive in Humble, Texas. The vehicle had two suspects attempting to burglarize other vehicles in the area. Upon arrival, deputies witnessed the suspects breaking into a vehicle and trying to flee in their own vehicle.

Deputies initiated a traffic stop, but the driver refused to comply, leading to a brief pursuit. During the pursuit, the driver intentionally struck a patrol vehicle. Subsequently, the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a crash. Both suspects fled on foot but were quickly apprehended.

The suspects were identified as juveniles, and the juvenile driver was arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer and Evading in a Motor Vehicle. The other juvenile suspect faced charges of Evading Arrest and was released to their guardian.
