Two Found Dead in Montgomery Mobile Home Fire Under Investigation
On August 22, 2025, at approximately 2:16 a.m., Montgomery County deputies responded to the 20300 block of Birch Drive in Montgomery, TX, to assist the Montgomery Fire Department with a fully engulfed double-wide mobile home.
After the fire was extinguished, two deceased individuals were discovered among the remains. The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office responded and noted injuries on the victims, prompting the Major Crimes Unit to begin a joint investigation with Crime Scene Investigators.
The Montgomery County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct autopsies to determine the cause and manner of death. Officials say there is no apparent threat to the public. The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
