Two Found Dead in Montgomery County Home

On December 11, 2023, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a Welfare Check call in the 800 block of Omeara in the Lake Conroe Village area. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the lifeless bodies of a male and female, both bearing apparent gunshot wounds.

Detectives from the Homicide and Violent Crimes Division, accompanied by Crime Scene Investigators, are currently on-site and conducting an investigation. Initial reports suggest that a family friend, arriving to pick up the male victim for work, noticed the front door ajar. Concerned, he sought assistance from a nearby neighbor and promptly dialed 911.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting, as well as the motive behind it, remain under active investigation. Authorities emphasize that, as of now, the incident appears to be isolated, involving only the two deceased individuals. The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation is still in its early stages, and law enforcement has disclosed no further details at this time. Updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.

UPDATE: The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has identified the deceased as 24-year-old Arazeli Ruiz and 31-year-old Fernando Fernandez. The children involved in this horrible incident are safe and currently with family members.
