Suspect Wanted for Sexual Assault of a Child Arrested in North Carolina, To Be Extradited Back to Harris County
On November 28, 2022, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 14500 block of Myers Street in reference to a cyber-crime involving a juvenile female being blackmailed into a sending sexually explicit photo and videos of herself to an unknown suspect on-line through social media.
Investigators with Constable Herman’s High Tech Crimes Unit and Special Victims Unit began a lengthy investigation into identifying the suspect. Using forensic exams of cellphones and data, they were able to identify the suspect as 21-year-old Allen L. Rogers, who has an open warrant out of the 180th District Court in Harris County for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.
New charges were filed and an arrest warrant for 1st Degree Felony charge of Sexual Performance of a Child was obtained by investigators in the 180th District Court with No Bond. The suspect was arrested by North Carolina local authorities and is currently awaiting trial there for charges of Sexual Assault of a Child before being extradited back to Texas.
