Two Arrested in Texas City Copper Wire Theft from Emergency Well Site

TEXAS CITY, TX — Texas City Police have arrested two men in connection with a burglary and theft of copper wire from the FM 2004 Emergency Backup Well Site on October 15.
Investigators identified David Knight Haney and Brent John Wentland as the suspects. Both were taken into custody on warrants for Theft of Property valued between $150,000 and $300,000 and Damaging a Critical Infrastructure Facility valued over $100,000. Wentland also faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
