Two Arrested for Burglary, Criminal Mischief at East El Paso Property

Two men were arrested on June 24, 2025, after El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of criminal trespass in progress at a property in the 14000 block of Montana Avenue.

Deputies from the East Montana Patrol Station arrived within two minutes and observed two male individuals, later identified as Clemente Arrieta, 53, and Luis Wilfredo Chairez, 28, entering and exiting the property while carrying multiple items. The area was immediately secured, and both suspects were detained without incident.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects had breached a cinderblock wall to gain unlawful entry. Once inside, they allegedly dismantled and removed various vehicle parts. Estimated damages to the property are approximately $3,500.

Sheriff’s Office detectives obtained a search warrant to recover the stolen items and seize the vehicle used during the commission of the crime.

Both Arrieta and Chairez have been charged with Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespass, and Burglary of Vehicles. Bond for each was set at $4,500, and they were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office affirmed its commitment to public safety, stating it will continue to hold individuals accountable and aggressively pursue those who engage in criminal behavior within the community.
