On Thursday, December 21, 2023, in the 11800 block of the S Sam Houston Pkwy E, Precinct 8 Deputy Burden from Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Thomas Ernest Smith II.

Subsequently, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted felony charges for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
