Toddlers Found Neglected in Hot Car; Mother Arrested at Houston Motel

Stevie Jacobsen, 28, has been arrested and charged with Child Endangerment after her two young toddlers were found alone, sweating, and one soiled, inside a borrowed vehicle in the 1000 block of FM 1960 Road on June 24, 2025.
Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a “Meet the Citizen” call regarding a vehicle that was not returned by a friend. They located the vehicle parked at the Holiday Inn Express, where they found Jacobsen asleep in the front seat and two toddlers, aged two and three, in the back. The children were reportedly covered in sweat, and one was soiled in urine.
Deputies also observed drug paraphernalia within reach of both children inside the vehicle. It was discovered that Jacobsen, the mother of the children, had an open warrant for Injury to a Disabled Person and had allegedly been leaving the children alone in the vehicle while entering different motels.
Child Protective Services was contacted and informed of the situation. The children were transported to a local hospital for evaluation and later released to a family member.
Stevie Jacobsen was subsequently arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Child Endangerment.
