Three Young Suspects Captured After Home Invasion and Assault on Elderly Man in Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested three suspects following a home invasion that left an elderly man injured on Monday, authorities said.
Responders were called around Dec. 30 to the 8300 block of Timber Nook Court, MUD 1 (near Tomball/Kuykendahl), after a 911 caller reported masked intruders breaking into the residence. Dispatchers heard a disturbance and received multiple panic alarm activations from the home. Deputies learned that multiple suspects forced entry through a rear window and assaulted an elderly male resident before fleeing the scene.
A drone and K-9 unit were deployed to assist in the search. Deputies located three suspects nearby, who fled on foot when approached. A perimeter was established, and K-9 Tejas Briones successfully helped apprehend the individuals.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities said 17-year-old Alvieriz Obando-Potosme was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with evading arrest, with bond set at $100 out of County Court 2. One juvenile suspect was also charged with evading arrest and released to a guardian, while all three remain under investigation with additional charges pending.
Constable Mark Herman said the investigation is ongoing as deputies continue to gather evidence related to the home invasion.
