Three Teens Arrested After Auto Burglary in Progress at Odessa Apartment Complex

Odessa Police Department apprehended three juveniles on Thursday, December 11, 2025, in connection with an auto burglary at the Golden Crest Apartments, located at 3939 Tanglewood. Officers responded around 1:31 p.m. after a witness reported seeing three juveniles burglarizing vehicles and removing items from a silver Toyota sedan.

Upon arrival, officers immediately took a 14-year-old male into custody. A second 14-year-old male attempted to evade officers, tossing a THC vape pen over a fence, but was later found hiding behind a dumpster and arrested. The third suspect, a 15-year-old male, initially fled on foot but was subsequently apprehended.

All three juveniles face charges of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, a state jail felony, and Burglary of a Vehicle, a Class A misdemeanor. The 15-year-old was also charged with Evading Arrest/Detention, while the second 14-year-old faces additional charges of Evading Arrest/Detention, Possession of a Controlled Substance (less than 4 grams of a Penalty Group 2 substance), and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

All three suspects were transported to the Ector County Youth Center, and the investigation remains ongoing.
