Three Suspects Arrested in Angleton Downtown Shooting Incident

The Angleton Police Department has announced the arrest of three suspects in connection with a shooting incident that occurred in downtown Angleton on Sunday, May 11, 2025. The Angleton Criminal Investigations Division (CID) has worked extensively on the case, conducting numerous interviews and reviewing surveillance footage.
The arrested suspects, all charged with Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury, are:
- Demontre Jaquel Thompson, 26, of Bay City, Texas. Thompson was apprehended on May 15, 2025, in Matagorda County by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) after attempting to evade arrest from a vehicle and then on foot. In addition to the Angleton charge, he faces charges of Evading Arrest/Detention with a Previous Conviction (Bond: $7,500) and two counts of Credit/Debit Card Abuse (Bond: $5,000 each) from Bay City, TX. His bond for the Angleton charge is $250,000.
- Christen Macllord Green, 27. Green was located and arrested on May 20, 2025, in the 1200 block of E Bowling Highway in Wharton, Texas. His arrest was a coordinated effort involving Angleton CID, the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, and the Wharton County Sheriff’s Office. He was transported to the Brazoria County Detention Center, with a bond set at $250,000 for the aggravated assault charge.
- Dadreon Mekai Monroe, 24, of Lake Jackson, Texas. Monroe was arrested on May 21, 2025, at approximately 11:00 AM in the 100 block of Anyway Street, Lake Jackson, Texas. This arrest was also a joint effort between Angleton CID, the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, and the Lake Jackson Police Department. He is currently held at the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Detention Center with a $250,000 bond.
The Angleton Police Department stated that the investigation remains active, and additional leads are being pursued.
