On August 2, 2024, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in the 2900 block of Hirschfield Road. The driver refused to stop, leading deputies on a brief pursuit. During the pursuit, the driver attempted to strike a deputy with the vehicle, but the deputy was able to jump out of harm’s way.
