Man Shot After Leading Deputies on Pursuit in Montgomery County

UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as 53-year-old Casey Guillory of Sugar Land, TX. He has been charged with Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He is currently in stable condition in the hospital, receiving treatment for his injuries. The investigation is ongoing.

A 53-year-old white male is in critical but stable condition after being shot by a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy during a late-night traffic stop that escalated into a vehicle pursuit.
At approximately 11:40 p.m. on May 30, 2025, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a white late model Jaguar in South Montgomery County. The driver fled the scene, prompting a pursuit involving a second MCSO deputy and Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers.
The Shenandoah Police Department assisted by deploying tire deflation devices, which successfully stopped the vehicle on the FM 1488 on-ramp. The suspect then exited the vehicle armed with a firearm. A deputy fired multiple shots, striking the man.
Emergency medical care was administered on scene before the suspect was transported to a local hospital. He remains in critical but stable condition.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, MCSO Crime Scene, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, and the Texas Rangers are conducting the investigation into the incident.
