Three Juveniles Arrested After Foot Pursuit in Brunswick Place Neighborhood

Harris County Precinct 7 deputies responded to a call about three male suspects seen in a backyard in the Brunswick Place neighborhood. One of them was reported to be carrying a backpack with a handgun inside.

When deputies arrived, the group ran in different directions. Deputies chased the suspect with the backpack as he jumped several fences and eventually threw the bag into another yard. The chase continued until the teen was found hiding behind trash cans in a front yard. When he jumped out, a deputy fired a shot that struck the side of the home’s garage. No one was injured.

With help from Precinct 7, Houston Police, Pearland Police and K9 units, HPD Air Support, and Pearland drones, all three suspects were located and taken into custody without injury.

The District Attorney accepted two charges of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, and all three juveniles were charged with Evading Arrest. Their parents were notified and brought to the scene before the teens were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in downtown Houston.
