Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive Captured Outside Houston After Tip Leads to Arrest
Captured: Antonio Rodriguez Jr.

PASADENA, Texas – Texas Department of Public Safety officials announced the arrest of this month’s Texas 10 Most Wanted Featured Fugitive, Antonio Rodriguez Jr., following a coordinated operation outside Houston last week.

Rodriguez, 28, was taken into custody Wednesday, Jan. 7, in Pasadena after investigators received credible tip information about his whereabouts. DPS Criminal Investigations Division special agents, Texas Highway Patrol troopers, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crime Apprehension Team located Rodriguez as he was leaving an apartment complex and arrested him without incident.

Because the arrest stemmed from a Crime Stoppers tip, an increased reward will be paid, DPS officials confirmed.

Rodriguez had been wanted out of Harris County since August 2025 on a charge of robbery with bodily injury. Authorities say his criminal history spans more than a decade and includes convictions for burglary of a vehicle, escape while arrested or confined, burglary of a building, evading arrest or detention, and driving while intoxicated with a child under the age of 15 in the vehicle.

Records show Rodriguez was released from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in January 2024.

DPS credited the arrest to cooperation between agencies and information provided by the public, emphasizing that tips remain one of the most effective tools in locating dangerous fugitives.

Officials continue to encourage anyone with information on wanted individuals to contact Crime Stoppers, noting that tips can be submitted anonymously and may be eligible for a cash reward.
