Teen Charged After 8-Year-Old Boy Dies from Injuries in Baytown

An 8-year-old boy who was hospitalized with severe injuries has died, and an 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with the case.

On February 10, 2025, Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a hospital at 4401 Garth Road in Baytown, where the child had been transported with multiple bodily injuries. Authorities determined the injuries were consistent with abuse, and investigators believe the abuse occurred at a residence in the 100 block of Greendell Street, near North Main Street in Highlands.

The child remained in critical condition for several days before succumbing to his injuries.

On March 3, 2025, Homicide Detectives charged Nolan Stallings, 18, with the felony offense of Injury to a Child. Stallings was booked into the Harris County Jail.

Investigators confirmed that Stallings was in a dating relationship with the victim’s sister. The case remains under investigation.
