Teen Arrested After High-Speed Chase and Four-Vehicle Crash in Tomball
On January 8, 2025, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office were patrolling the 25000 block of Tomball Parkway when they observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed through a busy parking lot. Due to the driver’s reckless disregard for safety, a traffic stop was initiated.
The driver, later identified as 17-year-old Mario Marquez, refused to stop and led deputies on a brief pursuit. During the chase, Marquez lost control of the vehicle, causing a four-vehicle crash and injuring one driver.
Deputies apprehended Marquez at the scene. He was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with evading arrest in a motor vehicle and failure to stop and render aid. His bond was set at $40,000.00 by the 496th District Court.
