Suspect Wanted in August Fatal Stabbing of a Woman in Southeast Houston

Charges have been filed against a male initially identified and sought as a person of interest in the fatal stabbing of a woman at 6815 Airport Boulevard about 3:10 p.m. on August 7.

The male, Juan Jose Trillo-Calvo, 51, is now identified as the suspect and is charged with murder in the 337th State District Court. Two photos of Trillo-Calvo, who is not in custody, are attached to this news release and were previously released on August 29.

The victim is identified as Veronica Elizalde, 50.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Lunceford and D. Davis reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a residence at the above address and found Ms. Elizalde suffering from  multiple stab wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.

Further investigation identified Trillo-Calvo, the victim’s husband, as a person of interest wanted for questioning in the incident. It was believed he possibly fled to the the San Antonio area.

Detectives now believe the suspect could be in Mexico.
