Suspect Robs Walgreens Pharmacy in Amarillo; Police Seek Public Help

On Wednesday, April 30, at 5:38 a.m., an unidentified Black male robbed the Walgreens located at 34th Avenue and Bell Street. The suspect, described as approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build, entered the store wearing a black hoodie, blue surgical mask, and black gloves, and was carrying a black garbage bag.
The suspect approached the pharmacy counter and presented a note indicating he was armed, demanding access to the pharmacy area. He obtained an unknown quantity of medications before fleeing the scene in a dark-colored sedan. The vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on Danvers Street.
The Amarillo Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is actively investigating the incident and is asking the public for assistance.
