A suspect wanted and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on September 20 has been taken into custody. Caleb Solomon, 20, is facing a murder charge in the 338th State District Court for the death of Vincent Curenton, 27, at 3309 Reeves Street in South Central Houston.

The Houston Police Department responded to a shooting call at the specified address around 3:30 p.m. on September 20. Officers discovered Mr. Curenton unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Following an extensive investigation and statements from witnesses, Caleb Solomon was identified as the suspect. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted, leading to the filing of a murder charge against Solomon.

Subsequent efforts by law enforcement determined Solomon’s location. On Monday, November 20, members of the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force arrested Solomon without incident. He has since been booked into the Harris County Jail.
